St Patricks Day:
the history of St Patrick is a mystery. Some people will tell you that he got the snakes out of Ireland. Others will talk about how he used the three leafed shamrock as a trinity concept. whatever... this guy probably did convert Irish people to Christianity. and so..
St Patricks day in Ireland is first of all a bank holiday dedicated to pub crawls and drinking excesses!

Believe it or not. Eventhough Dublin is Ireland biggest city, this city is definitely very small. You cant walk in the street wihtout meeting somebody you know. Then, one night, 11PM,I was goign back from work when I met....AMELIE!!!! my friend from IUT that I hadnt seen for one year! She is living not far from my house, and working in Temple Bar(which is 10 minutes from my working place!).So now, we are seing each other regularly. Crazy, isnt it?

Tuesday, december 4th..pourring rain....Francesca came to Duuuuublin!
(yes, to pronounce Dublin properly, you have to strongly insist on the "UUUUU").
It was a crazy week... I dont think she saw many touristic stuff (well for sure she didnt go to St Patrick´s....hihi! we actually went to Oscar Wilde´s place but she couldnt seee it, and of course this f*** U2´s wall where i got my bag broken..), however, she experienced the Irish culture very well!

As waitress in a pub, working on Patricks day was more than a dutie! However, I managed to start at 2pm, which permitted me to enjoy the parade as well as the first pints of the day with my spanish friends.

thursday march 20th, Julien (one of my workmate) and me went to Kilkenny for a day trip.
We met up there, which means that I had to take the bus alone from Dublin!!!!!! I insist on that point because you know my abilities to miss buses! Oguz? Marce? hihi
there is not much to say about Kilkenny. Its a lovely small town.small castle, small cathedral...and loads of pubs. So after 1h3O we didnt have anything to do but tasting pints of Kilkenny in pubs!

its has been 5 months that im in Ireland, and 5 months that im working in the same Pub. I still cant beleive that ive found a job in the first pub i came in when i arrived. THE GRAND CENTRAL BAR, on O Connell Street (main street of Dublin). The building used to be a Bank before.very nice.
For sure, its not the best job ever, but the atmosphere there is GRAND!(yes, in Ireland you have to say Grand!). Customers are very nice(till their 5th round of guiness!).Its amazing how Irish peole drink! seriously, peole says that English people drink a lot..well, come to Ireland and you´ll see..... Ive nevr seen anyone drinking that much.! Drinking here is part of the culture. Honestly, pubs are one of the most attractive aspect of Ireland.so...everyone is drinking!
then, what i like in that place is my working team. The pub is divivded in 2 companies. the first one is looking after food stuff and the second after drinks (in a technical point of view it is completly stupid but anyway). I obviously belong to the second one :p . I have to say that the best moments i had here were with them, at work, or after work, going out at the other side of Dublin, playing dart or charades till 8am... Yes, Finally, i like them.
